Superstar Mahesh Babu has been occupied with the shooting of his highly anticipated film ‘Varanasi’, directed by acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The prestigious project, being mounted on a massive scale, is one of the most eagerly awaited Indian films in production.
Amid his busy shooting schedule, Mahesh Babu was recently spotted at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) along with his wife Namrata Shirodkar and children Gowtam and Sitara. The family was seen heading out for a short vacation, with videos of their airport appearance quickly going viral across social media platforms.
While the destination of their getaway has not been disclosed, fans were delighted to catch a glimpse of the superstar enjoying some quality time with his family. The vacation comes as a brief break from the ongoing Varanasi shoot.
According to reports, Mahesh Babu is expected to resume filming by July 1, 2026. He is also likely to make an appearance at the much-talked-about “Rao Bahadur” event scheduled for July 2, 2026.
On the professional front, “Varanasi” is shaping up to be one of the biggest cinematic ventures in Indian cinema. The film features an impressive cast, including Priyanka Chopra, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.
Jointly produced by Durga Arts and Showing Business, the film has music composed by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravaani. “Varanasi” is currently scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
