The teaser of Jo Jo, introduces a rustic romantic comedy set against the drought-hit diamond fields of Jonnagiri. Titled Caution 1, the teaser follows a group of hopefuls who venture out believing the rains might have left diamonds scattered among the stones.
Their hunt soon turns into a comedy of failed expectations. As they search for precious stones, one man tries to flirt with a woman, while their discoveries eventually land before an examiner who dismisses them as ordinary rocks. Undeterred, one hopeful insists their fortune will come in time. The woman responds with a blunt “Clean your own ass!” capturing the teaser’s irreverent humour and the characters’ unfiltered exchanges.
Filmmaker and actor Tharun Bhascker has also called the teaser an “excellent teaser” after watching it, adding another talking point to the film’s unveiling.
Written and directed by Kiran Jay Kumar and produced by Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni under the Vijayam banner, Jo Jo follows two penniless dreamers and a fearless young woman chasing a life-changing diamond. Krishna Kamal plays Seenu, while Maahi Sri portrays Supraja. With its unusual treasure hunt and earthy comic voice, Caution 1 offers an early glimpse of the film’s distinctive world.
