Nandamuri Balakrishna has reportedly sustained an injury while rehearsing an action sequence for his upcoming film NBK111 near Kakinada Port. The action rehearsal, choreographed by renowned stunt master Ravi Varma, took an unfortunate turn when the actor lost his balance during a practice session.
According to sources, Balakrishna was rehearsing an action sequence choreographed by Ravi Varma when he attempted to lift his right leg. During the movement, he unexpectedly lost his balance and fell, injuring his left leg. The actor reportedly suffered a muscle injury to the same left leg that has troubled him on multiple occasions.
This marks the third time Balakrishna has injured the same leg. He previously suffered a leg injury during the shooting of Lion in 2017. Later, he experienced another setback while filming Aha’s Unstoppable in 2021. Now, during the action rehearsals for NBK111, the same leg has once again been injured.
Following the incident, Balakrishna was examined by doctors. Sources indicate that medical experts have advised a minor surgical procedure along with approximately one month of complete bed rest to ensure a full recovery. An official statement from the makers regarding his health is still awaited.
The current shooting schedule of NBK111 was planned to continue until July 28 across multiple locations, including Kakinada and Rajahmundry. However, with Balakrishna’s injury, the scheduled shoot has now been wrapped up, and the production team is expected to resume filming after the actor recovers.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, NBK111 is one of the most anticipated Telugu films currently in production. The film also features Manchu Manoj in a pivotal role alongside Balakrishna, marking an exciting collaboration. The project is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, the producer of Ram Charan’s blockbuster PEDDI, under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner.
