Sony Pictures Networks India has announced Celebrity MasterChef Tamil, with popular actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu set to headline the Tamil edition of the globally popular culinary reality format.
Bringing together celebrity, food and high-stakes competition, the show will feature some of Tamil entertainment’s most recognisable personalities as they trade the spotlight for the kitchen. The celebrity contestants will face a series of challenging culinary tasks, unexpected twists and intense competition as they battle to create dishes that impress both the judges and audiences.
Produced by Banijay Asia, Celebrity MasterChef Tamil will retain the essence of the internationally acclaimed MasterChef format while giving it a distinctly Tamil flavour. Local cuisine, familiar celebrity faces and the vibrant spirit of Tamil entertainment will form the heart of the show.
Samantha, who will headline the new show, expressed her excitement about the unique experience. She said the format is unlike anything she has done before and that the opportunity to see popular Tamil celebrities take risks, make mistakes and surprise themselves in the kitchen was one of the reasons she was drawn to the show.

Celebrity MasterChef Tamil will be a key entertainment offering on Sony VIZHA, with the show also streaming on Sony LIV.
