ZEE5 has expanded its children’s entertainment offering with the launch of Shivlok Ke Kundakka Mandakka (SKM) under its dedicated kids’ destination, KidZ. Created as a safe, fun, and family-friendly entertainment hub, KidZ continues to strengthen its content library with this original mythological animated series, which premieres on July 17.
Adapted from acclaimed author Anand Neelakantan’s bestselling children’s book The Very, Extremely, Most Naughty Asura Tales for Kids, the series introduces viewers to a vibrant new world inspired by Indian mythology. Rather than retelling familiar stories from the Ramayana and Mahabharata, Shivlok Ke Kundakka Mandakka explores fresh characters, magical worlds, and exciting adventures rooted in India’s rich mythological heritage.
The story follows Kundakka and Mandakka, two mischievous Asura twins whose playful nature leads them on an unforgettable journey filled with courage, friendship, and self-discovery. Packed with humour, action, and visually engaging animation, the series presents mythology through a fresh and entertaining lens for today’s young audiences.
At its heart, the show celebrates the idea that true heroes are defined not by perfection but by the choices they make.
