Lenin Day 5 Box Office Collection: Akhil Akkineni's Film Holds Strong, Eyes ₹50 Crore Worldwide

Akhil Akkineni has finally found the blockbuster he was waiting for. Directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin continues its impressive run at the box office, maintaining solid collections even after the opening weekend. While weekday drops are expected for most films, Lenin has managed to remain steady, indicating strong audience acceptance and positive word of mouth.

₹3 Crore on Day 5

According to the latest trade estimates, Lenin collected ₹3 crore net in India on its fifth day. With this, the film’s five-day India net collection has reached ₹32.05 crore, while the India gross stands at ₹36.79 crore. The film was screened across more than 2,100 shows on Tuesday and continued to attract audiences despite the weekday slowdown.

Worldwide Gross Nears ₹50 Crore

The film also maintained a steady performance overseas by adding around ₹50 lakh gross on Day 5. As a result, the overseas total has climbed to ₹8.30 crore, taking the worldwide gross collection to ₹45.09 crore after five days.

With this momentum, Lenin is expected to cross the ₹50 crore worldwide gross milestone very soon, making it one of the biggest commercial successes in Akhil Akkineni’s career.

Positive Word of Mouth Driving Collections

Although the film witnessed a 16.7% drop compared to Monday, the decline is considered healthy for a weekday. Trade analysts believe the film’s emotional storyline, action sequences, and family appeal are helping it sustain collections across Telugu-speaking markets.

The strong weekday hold suggests that Lenin could continue to perform well until new major releases arrive in theatres.

Distributors Already in Profit

The film’s excellent theatrical run has also brought relief to its distributors. Producer Naga Vamsi recently revealed that distributors recovered their investments during the opening weekend itself, with the film now moving firmly into the profit zone.

Final Word

After several years of waiting for a major theatrical success, Akhil Akkineni appears to have delivered the comeback fans hoped for. With ₹45.09 crore worldwide gross in just five days and strong weekday stability, Lenin is now on course to cross the ₹50 crore mark and could continue its successful run over the coming days if the momentum remains intact.
