After winning hearts in theatres with its refreshing take on first love, Chennai Love Story is now heading to the digital space. The romantic drama will begin streaming on Sony LIV from August 21 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
The film emerged as a strong theatrical success, crossing the ₹60 crore mark, with audiences appreciating its heartfelt storytelling, soulful music and charming performances. Directed by Ravi Namburii, the screenplay is penned by Ravi Namburii and Sai Rajesh Neelam, while the story is written by Sai Rajesh.
Produced by SKN and Sai Rajesh Neelam under Amrutha Productions and Mass Movie Makers, the film stars Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya in the lead roles.
Set against the vibrant backdrop of Chennai, Chennai Love Story explores the innocence, excitement and emotional turbulence of first love. The coming-of-age romance follows two youngsters as they navigate their relationship while discovering that growing up is not just about finding someone to love, but also about finding themselves.
Speaking about the OTT premiere, Kiran Abbavaram said the film remains special to him for capturing the emotions and innocence associated with first love. He expressed happiness that the story will now reach audiences across different regions and languages through Sony LIV.
