Samantha’s blockbuster family action drama Maa Inti Bangaaram has scripted another milestone by crossing the ₹100 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office. With this achievement, the film has become the first female-led Telugu film to enter the coveted ₹100 crore club, further strengthening its position as one of the biggest commercial successes in women-centric Indian cinema.
Released on June 19, 2026, simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil (as Engal Thangam), the film has enjoyed a sensational run at the box office. Produced on a modest budget, Maa Inti Bangaaram has reportedly recovered more than 300 percent of its production cost. The film also set several benchmarks during its theatrical run, including becoming the highest-grossing female-led Telugu film overseas, collecting over $2.5 million, while securing a place among India’s top-grossing solo female-led films.
Created by Raj K. Nidimoru in collaboration with B.V. Nandini Reddy, the film is jointly produced by Raj, Samantha, and Himank Reddy Duvuru under the Tralala Moving Pictures banner. The ensemble cast includes Gulshan Devaiah, Diganth Manchale, Gautami, Sreemukhi, and Anand in pivotal roles.

The film emerged as a cultural phenomenon, drawing audiences of all age groups, particularly women, to theatres in large numbers. Samantha’s powerful performance, the film’s emotional storytelling, situational comedy, and naturally choreographed action sequences received widespread appreciation from both audiences and critics.
Expressing her happiness over the milestone, Samantha said the success of Maa Inti Bangaaram proves that audiences are wholeheartedly embracing stories led by strong female protagonists across languages. Creator-producer Raj K. Nidimoru thanked audiences for showering immense love on his Telugu debut, while producer Himank Reddy Duvuru described the ₹100 crore achievement as a landmark moment that could serve as a case study for women-led cinema in the Indian film industry.
