Tabu’s Fierce Avatar Steals the Show in Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road Glimpse

Puri Jagannadh and Vijay Sethupathi are joining forces for the first time with the highly anticipated pan-India action drama Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road. Promising a gritty blend of intense action, raw emotion and mystery, the film has now unveiled a powerful glimpse featuring Tabu in a commanding role.

Following the release of her first look as Gowri Hegde, the latest glimpse offers a closer look at Tabu’s character and instantly establishes her as one of the film’s most intriguing figures. Set against the backdrop of the city’s slums, the glimpse introduces a harsh and chaotic world before bringing Gowri Hegde into the frame in style.

Arriving in a car, lighting a cigarette and confronting a local goon without hesitation, Tabu makes a striking impression. Her stern warning and sudden slap establish Gowri Hegde as a woman who commands authority rather than demands it.

The glimpse goes on to showcase her fearless nature as she takes on hostile locals and goons in the middle of the streets. Wielding a wooden baton and physically overpowering those who challenge her, Gowri Hegde remains completely unfazed despite being surrounded by police personnel and a large crowd.

The words “One Fearless Woman,” “Powerful Officer,” “Ruthless,” “Merciless” and “Devil In The Department” further hint at the intensity of her character. The biggest highlight comes when she introduces herself with swagger: “Gowri Hegde, Deputy Commissioner, Income Tax.” The introduction carries the unmistakable flavour of a classic Puri Jagannadh character.

Tabu is the major attraction of the glimpse, delivering the role with immense intensity and authority. Her screen presence adds an intriguing layer of menace to Gowri Hegde, making audiences eager to discover more about the character. The glimpse also features brief glimpses of Vijay Sethupathi, whose role remains under wraps.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, with Samyuktha playing the female lead and Duniya Vijay portraying a negative-shaded character. Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh are also part of the prominent cast.

On the technical front, Sam K Naidu is handling cinematography, Harshavardhan Rameshwar is composing the music, while Santosh Noozilla takes care of the editing.

Slum Dog: 33 Temple Road is produced by Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur under the Puri Connects banner, in association with JB Narayan Rao Kondrolla’s JB Motion Pictures. The film has already generated considerable curiosity with its title announcement, first-look poster and teaser, and the latest glimpse has further amplified the buzz around its characters and gritty world.

The pan-India action drama is gearing up for release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.
