Rashmika Mandanna Pulls Off Gruelling Underwater Action Sequence for Mysaa Without a Body Double

Rashmika Mandanna Pulls Off Gruelling Underwater Action Sequence for Mysaa Without a Body Double

National Crush Rashmika Mandanna is leaving no stone unturned for her upcoming pan-India action drama Mysaa. The actress is undergoing one of the most physically demanding transformations of her career, with the film set to present her in a never-before-seen action-packed avatar.

Directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle and produced by Unformula Films, Mysaa features Rashmika as a Gond tribal woman, a role that required extensive preparation, both emotionally and physically, before filming commenced.

Taking her dedication to the next level, Rashmika recently completed one of the film’s most challenging action schedules by filming a demanding underwater fight sequence. The actress reportedly spent nearly 20 hours underwater over two days, performing the high-intensity stunt herself without relying on a body double.

The sequence is being described by the makers as India’s first female-led underwater fight sequence of this scale. Despite the technical complexity and physical risks involved, Rashmika chose to perform the action on her own to ensure authenticity, earning praise from the film’s technical team and the underwater stunt crew.

Far from being just another action set piece, the underwater episode is mounted on a grand scale and is expected to be one of the biggest visual highlights of the film.

The film also stars Rahul Ravindran and Eshwari Rao in key roles. Cinematography is handled by Shreyaas P. Krishna, while Jakes Bejoy composes the music. Renowned international stunt choreographer Kecha Khamphakdee is designing the action sequences.

With production progressing steadily, the makers are preparing to unveil the teaser in the coming weeks. Judging by the scale of the action and Rashmika Mandanna’s commitment, Mysaa is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious films of her career.
