
The makers of Dada – The Sourav Ganguly Story have unveiled the much-awaited first-look poster featuring Rajkummar Rao as legendary Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly. Released on the occasion of Ganguly’s birthday, the poster has delighted cricket fans and movie lovers alike while officially kickstarting the film’s promotional campaign.
The makers also confirmed that the biographical sports drama will have a worldwide theatrical release on May 14, 2027, during an extended holiday weekend.
The first-look poster recreates one of the most unforgettable moments in Indian cricket history Sourav Ganguly waving his jersey from the Lord’s Cricket Ground balcony after India’s famous NatWest Trophy triumph over England in 2002. The iconic celebration came to symbolize Ganguly’s fearless leadership and marked the beginning of a new era in Indian cricket.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, the film chronicles Ganguly’s remarkable journey from a gifted young cricketer to one of India’s most influential captains. It promises to explore the determination, resilience, and leadership that reshaped Indian cricket and inspired an entire generation of players and fans.
The film is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under the Luv Films banner and is presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, T-Series, and DBL.
