Nagarjuna delivered an emotional speech at the success meet of Lenin, expressing his happiness over the film’s positive reception. The actor revealed that he had prayed to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala for his son Akhil to score a major hit and thanked everyone who contributed to the film’s success.
During his speech, Nagarjuna expressed heartfelt gratitude to Jr. NTR, whom he affectionately calls his “elder son” Tarak, for readily agreeing to provide the voice-over for the film. “Whenever I visit Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, I usually don’t ask for anything. But this time, I prayed for Akhil to get a solid hit. Every member of the team worked with complete dedication to make this film a success. A year ago, I attended the success meet of Naga Chaitanya’s Thandel. Naga Chaitanya and Akhil are like my two eyes,” Nagarjuna said.
He also praised actress Bhagyashree, calling her one of the film’s biggest highlights. “Bhagyashree called me the night before the release because she was feeling anxious. I told her that all her hard work would definitely pay off. Director Murali Kishore and editor Naveen are true workaholics. Producer Naga Vamsi played a crucial role in the film’s success.
“Nagarjuna added that he approached Lenin with the same passion and commitment that went into classics like Shiva and Ninne Pelladatha. “We made Shiva and Ninne Pelladatha with complete sincerity, and we made Lenin with the same dedication. I have always worked closely with every artist to elevate a film to the next level. The entire team put in tremendous effort for this movie. Ayyagare Number 1,” he said, drawing cheers from fans.

Nagarjuna also spoke emotionally about the difficult phase Akhil went through before the film’s production. “Akhil is someone who gives 100 percent to everything he does. He has worked extremely hard on every film, but success had eluded him until now. Lenin has finally given him that much-awaited hit.” He revealed that Akhil had suffered a serious hand injury before the film, leaving the family deeply worried. “He injured his hand in an accident and couldn’t use it for a long time. We were all concerned about whether it would regain normal function. During that difficult period, Akhil underwent a major transformation. He became more mature and thoughtful. Later, he found a life partner, and it felt like a new and positive phase had begun in his life. I sincerely thank all the fans for making Lenin a big success.
Directed by Murali Kishore Abburu, who previously helmed Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha, Lenin was released on Friday and has been receiving a positive response from audiences, marking a significant milestone in Akhil’s career.
