Actor Akhil Raj, who gained recognition with Raju Weds Rambai, has responded to the viral video showing him involved in an altercation with a food delivery executive. The incident, which quickly spread across social media, sparked widespread criticism and debate.
Addressing the controversy through a video statement, Akhil shared his version of the events, claiming the confrontation began after the delivery executive allegedly misbehaved with his mother.

According to the actor, his family had not placed any food order despite receiving a delivery at their residence. His mother accepted the parcel and questioned the delivery executive about the order. After realizing it was meant for someone else, she kept it aside.
Akhil alleged that the delivery executive later returned and verbally abused his mother, accusing the family of accepting food simply because it was free.
“My mother was abused, and he started arguing with my family members. As a son, I stepped in and warned him to behave properly. He then said he would record a video and upload it online,” Akhil said.
Responding to the criticism he has received on social media, the actor said many people judged him without knowing the complete story.
“Would anyone stay calm if something like this happened to their family? I admit I should have handled the situation more maturely by approaching the police. But when he abused my mother, I lost my temper,” he explained.
Akhil also revealed that he comes from a middle-class background and has previously worked as a delivery executive himself.
“I understand the dignity of every job because I too worked as a delivery boy. Even our film spoke about self-respect. Why would I intentionally pick a fight with someone? What would I gain from it?” he said.
